DNAmic today announced the appointment of two internationally recognized biotechnology executives, Ed Wagena, PhD, and Steve Cox, as strategic advisors to support the company's next phase of growth. Together, they bring more than four decades of international experience spanning advanced therapeutics, clinical development, regulatory strategy, corporate finance and global business development.
Their appointments represent an important milestone as DNAmic continues to mature from an early-stage technology company into a platform developer focused on advancing transformative in vivo gene and cell therapies.
Ed Wagena joins DNAmic with more than 20 years of experience developing innovative therapeutics, including advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), gene therapies, RNA-based medicines, biologics and vaccines. Throughout his career, he has guided multiple biotechnology companies from early discovery through clinical development and regulatory approval, serving in executive leadership positions including Acting Chief Executive Officer and Acting Chief Development Officer. His expertise includes translational medicine, clinical development, regulatory interactions with the EMA, FDA and Health Canada, fundraising and the operational scaling of biotechnology companies.
Steve Cox brings more than 25 years of international experience advising healthcare and life science companies across Europe, North America and Australia. During his career, he has supported more than $17 billion in strategic transactions and helped companies raise over $3.4 billion through initial public offerings, venture capital financings and follow-on investments. His experience spans corporate strategy, financing, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, corporate development and healthcare innovation, making him a valuable addition as DNAmic prepares for future strategic partnerships and corporate expansion.
